WTMC Perspectives Day 10 March, Museum Boerhaave, Leiden

On Sunday, March 10th, WTMC will organise the first ever WTMC Perspectives Day. During this day, we will bring together current WTMC members and WTMC alumni to share perspectives on career opportunities after finishing a WTMC dissertation. Several alumni will discuss their career experiences and reflect on what their WTMC background has offered them. During short speed date sessions, we will get the chance to ask further questions and discuss any concerns or hopes about finding a job both inside or outside academia. At the end of the day, there will be a workshop on how to design, rather than find, a perfect future STS job.

The Perspectives Day will take place at Rijksmuseum Boerhaave in Leiden, where Mieneke te Hennepe, WTMC alumni and current conservator Medical Collections, will host us. Of course, a guided tour through the museum will be part of the programme. The preliminary programme looks as follows:

Registration is open for current and recently graduated WTMC PhD-students. Participation to the Perspectives Day is free. However, only a limited number of spots is available. Filling these spots will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis, so please book your place quickly.
