Successful international evaluation WTMC

WTMC underwent a hugely successful international evaluation in the early spring of March 2017. On 22-23 March, an International Peer Review Panel came to Utrecht to evaluate the work of WTMC for the period 2011-2016. The committee consisted of Professor dr Alan Irwin (Copenhagen Business School), Professor dr Martina Merz (Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt), and Professor dr Pierre-Benoît Joly (National Institute of Agronomic Research, Paris). While in the Netherlands, they met with the current and future directors, current and past coordinators, chair and members of the board, past and present PhD members, and a few PhD supervisors. The key conclusion of their report reads as follows:

In the opinion of the International Peer Review Panel, WTMC is one of the few most influential graduate schools in the world within the field of science, technology and innovation studies (STIS). We furthermore conclude that WTMC makes an outstanding contribution to society. WTMC builds upon an excellent research foundation within its field and is therefore excellently equipped in terms of future research capacity. On that basis, we assess WTMC as being of world-leading quality with regard to its doctoral training activities.

The  Self-evaluation report 2011-2016 prepared by WTMC and the WTMC evaluation report 2017 of the Peer Review Panel can be found here.
