Study- and Conference Centre Soeterbeeck
5371 LL Ravenstein
The next WTMC PhD Workshop will be held from Wednesday 6 until Friday 8 April 2022 at Soeterbeeck. This workshop takes on huge concepts, trust and truth. The event will be the opportunity to explore these concepts empirically, philosophically and institutionally. Each day of the workshop will consider a different angle, starting with trust and truth in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, moving on to philosophical insights on the role of trust and truth in science, and finally diving into how organisations and technologies shape trust and truth in science.
Speakers at the workshop will include Steven Shapin (Harvard University), Marli Huijer (Erasmus University Rotterdam), Robert Goené (De Waag), Tamara Metze (Wageningen University and Research), Koraya Karaca (University of Twente) and Anne-Floor Scholvinck (Rathenau Institute).
Please note that the workshop is being organised as an on-site, residential event. Attendance to the three full days is mandatory.
WTMC PhD candidates can register for free.
For external PhD candidates a participation fee of € 695 is charged.
After their acceptance, external participants will receive an email with an invoice and online-payment request and receipt. To participate, you must pay the fee via the online payment request. Registration to the workshop is final after the advance payment has been received by WTMC.
